VOLUNTEER TRAINERS

“Young lady volunteering to improve girls’ standards of living through training them in hair dressing”

She was doing that in order to reduce the redundancy of girls in the community and the good thing is that she is doing it voluntarily. In other words, she is volunteering to improve girls’ standards of living through training them skills on plaiting hair.

“A volunteer facilitating training”

This training is on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). The person who is facilitating the training is a woman. That woman is also a refugee, and she is training the colleagues to avoid SGBV at their homes.

"This is Nakivale Youth Center where youth go to get some information and also acquire computer skills, and the ladies are encouraged the most because she is the one directing/training”

You see, some time back, we used to think that everything is done by men, but now here it’s instead the lady directing men, so at least it gives some courage that ladies also can.
